Crash tests

Our winner in the categories "Student's design choice", and "Fastest car" is:

Sturdy design and custom wheels enable high speed. Many design details are invisible on video, but interior and egghead driver were decorated.

Our winner in the category "Softest landing" is:

Notice the crumble zone designed to absorb energy at impact.

Results from muffincups

Here are the result of the six experiments combined.
It seems the terminal velocity of the cups depends on how many are bunched together.

Falling ball

Students have calculated gravitational acceleration to 10.2 m/s^2 by using this video. Usual value is 9.82 m/s^2.
